Morning Hills (Himontagon) Loay, Bohol

Loay is a coastal town located at the mouth of the Loboc River, about 18.3 kilometers from Tagbilaran City. The Himontagon Hills are a group of hills located in Loay, Bohol, Philippines, about 20 kilometers from the Tagbilaran City.

I was awake at 4 early in the morning, packed all my things and ready to go to Himontagon Hills,also known as Morning hills. I needed someone to accompany me in my adventure, so, I invited my niece and my girlfriend to travel with me and so I grabbed my motorbike to start our journey. We started our travel from Tagbilaran to Loay at 4:45 am. We arrived to Loay public market at 5:15 am, since we didn’t take breakfast, we just have some snack and ate pandesal all the way. This is our first time to jaunt there, and so we asked some local residence the right way to go there. At first we almost get lost but we still keep asking where to go. The road going to morning hills is quite steeper than we thought and It is a little bit rough. At last we arrived to Himontagon Hills at 5:48 am.

The place was so pristine and tranquil. It’s a good place to start a new day, away from a rowdy city, stress and pollution. I can feel the fresh wind blowing in my face. The spectacular landscape of the hills makes me feel more relaxing.

When we were walking in the hills I was amazed of the laid back atmosphere during sunrise.

We spend most of our time taking pictures and enjoying the landscape of our dear mother nature.

I suggest that this place is a good place to remove your tension away and relax.

It was an unexpected adventure to discover a new place somewhere in Bohol.

Man is not himself only.....He is all that he sees; all that flows to him from a thousand sources.....He is the land, the lift of its mountain lines, the reach of its valleys. I am in love with this world and I will continue to explore and never stop to reach my dreams...
